Haped X Minka -- Power on Super Maternal, breed her anything you want; we had a nasty spring and must have missed her; sow e threw her to the bull. A nice mellow heifer.

Minka was the Super Cow in 1999, she is a proven producer from one of the best maternal lines in South Africa. Her long line of great M cows goes back to the Salerika Mia !!! An Aunt was the Grand Champion 1992 in Pretoria, and has production to back it up. Her distant neice, Simlee Maryna, was added to the Bar 5 SA Donor Program in March 2004. She is the dam of Simlee Goldmar, the sire of our own Gold II – so you will hear lots more from the M cows in the future.

Haped – super power cows, and the Champions of today. Bred to Bar 5 SA Kerl 808L , gives you a full south baby, and some P Pedodi twice, as the dam of Haped is the dam of Kerl 808L. Line breeding – the only way to go.

Her dam Laankie is a Donor for us in SA, and one of the 4 L cows we have there. Lana is the dam of the high selling bull at the FSFF Showcase sale selling for $16,000 to Greg Kemp, Indian Creek Ranches of Huntsville, AL. Many have asked for semen, and he will get used. So some L blood will flow.

Bred in Canada by Bar 5, we are finding our matings in North America are strong. We know how to mate them, and we know the genetic lines.

H Line Hano/Optimal X Pfalzer/Fiona – Power hardly available in SA anymore!! She is deep, smooth, double goggled and deep sided. She carries pigmentation all over and is dark hooved. She is very feminine and will make a super Donor Cow. Natural Maternal Beef Cow. Herd Leader. Zurita missed her, so we loaded her on the Fleck Select truck.

The Sire – our own Bar 5 SA Mr Optimal 447L, who is now in Brazil. First calf here, and not a bad job !! Expect more from this Powerhouse.

The dam is a Evan sired Fiona, and that means she needs some Siska or Lana or Peppi – to add in some more Cow Families. As we start to build these SA Bar 5 cow families it will be a lot of fun.

Who ever buys this one will get noticed; expect Agro Zurita in a year or two.

804L – A Tank and the Reserve People’s Choice at the Royal in 2002. The Cowboys; loved her….Siska has been a been a producer !! She put on 192 lbs. per frame unit when she was scanned on oct. 7, 2004 – the 415L’s are born super easy & are super beefy !!!
415L – another King of pigmentation & calving ease leader. Get some 415L, as Semex carries it and it is starting to go Internationally. B enz is the best of maternal in SA, and next spring the next wave of Sire Power will come with other Lines – Horris (meat/power & Gold balance ) And some more cherry red Massie’s.
Maternal Power - The top blood lines I found to the be the top Cow Makers in SA, are the B Bison in Benz, the K Kerl line in Ingo/Ibbie, the M Marbot in Embrio 3 and K Kater lines in the Kalgers. Minka – A Tank and a proven producer who was purchased in December 2001 after my investigative trip in October. Well, Minka is an Embrio 3 out of the original Benz !! Abraham and I combed Southern Africa from the Indian Ocean to here in the north, 3,200 kms, looking for that super charged Maternal Mama, we were focusing on Benz blood and then we found her !
Majoor – another King of pigmentation & a bull we found from Salerika. Majoor is Pfalzer sire line bull, who is the top performance line in SA.
A power ET Donor prospect as Minka is still flushing from December 2001 until now. I was told that the Bar 5 SA Donor Cows are super flushers as they are feminine, and the more fem they are , the more embryos they produce. We were right on with Minka.

A Julius X Minka ?? I do not know of any others. Should be a super mamma, these Julius’s are super cows in SA.
Julius, her sire, is our choice of BA Bayer from the “OF” line of Burgl. We chose Julius for his three star mother, and the strength of the herd he is from. He is a maternal powerhouse. His dam, Mont Beau Della was many times a Show Champion, as has been the Julius daughters. The 2004 Pretoria Grand Champion Bull was mothered by a Julius cow. Julius is an EBV Performance & Carcass trait leader in SA.
We all know the story on Minka, Super Cow at most shows in 1999, and we have flushed her for 3 years non stop. She is really a Super cow!! Her daughter should be as well.
She is only a 5.8, and lots of carcass, these Bar 5 SA cattle are easy keepers.

Full sister to the 814N calf, here is the natural calf from 804L. We sold her for $22,000 to Paulo Marques in April 2003, and then canceled the deal as the May 20 – hit us all. They are back buying cattrle and we are happy we got 804L – a Tank and the Reserve People’s Choice at the Royal in 2002.
415L – another King of pigmentation & Sire Line Genetics the best of SA, B Line Bison. Not available in Germany anymore.
Dam is a Siska X Hano, the 804L cow – who was the Royal’s 2002 Peoples Choice Reserve Grand Female in Toronto. Her full sister is here also, so you could appreciate the one’s bred in Canada by Bar 5; not just the matings from Bar 5 SA.

The Sire -- the proven Cow maker line of K Kerl line “Ibbie” blood, she is destined to be a Donor Cow. Ibbie is mothered by three generations of 3 Star cows, only the top 1% get this, and top of South Africa for three generations?? As a result is a maternal Powerhouse !!! We love him.
