> July 14 and 15, 2006 -- The 2006 World Congress in Calgary, Alberta hosted by the Canadian Simmental Association attended by 500 !!

The Event -- Congress pretour and tour activities started in Toronto, ON on July 5 and came to a close in Calgary on Sunday, July 17. The delegates were exposed to farm tours across the couintry, a Simmental show and sale at Calgary Stampede and ending with a Rodeo/Stampede Finals on a Million dollar Sunday before the Final banquet Sunday night !! > July 6, 2006 - Bar 5 hosts BBQ for World Congress from 10 am until 3 pm, and the Perth County Cattlemens Club drop in at 5 pm !!! We served 200 lbs. of Filet Mignon and ran the BBQ for almost 12 hours !! Many thanks for all who attended and safe travels for all on the way to Calgary. Many thanks to the CSA and all for allowing us to host this event.

The pre-lunch crowd surrounding the Chief BBQ men - Ron Wooddisse, Marywood & Larry Nolan, Nolan Cattle Co, Picture Butte, AB. Ron brought 200 lbs. of Filet Mignon from our Certified Ontario Beef program !! We bbq'd until 9 pm and ate three meals.
