May 28, 2007 >> A group from Columbia visits Bar 5 to see the Test centre, the Simmental/Fleckvieh program, the Angus program and to discuss the Circle 3 Genetics Ltd. Exportation options for them.

The group was shown Bar 5 by Greg Nolan as they had an opportunity to see many bulls listed in Circle 3 and the Semex Beef Spanish catalogue; SA bulls - Expert, Prafekt, Pfidelity, Gong, Branded Beef (AR) and Prime Design (AN).

he group made the comment that the market is expanding for Simmental/Fleckvieh genetics in this Tropical country; and the “pele zero” SA cattle are meeting the demands of the environment; as well as the SA half bulls on Angus. The group showed great interest in discussing the SA Genetics based Simbrah, FleckAngus, FleckBrah, & FleckNelore Breeding Program here.

The Bar 5 Multi-Breed Bull Test Station is a concept we have been building up to for a few years now. Although, not new in the context of a group of bulls owned by many producers are put into a controlled Test group; and the top candidates are selected & sold all via public auction has been happening for many years across North America, specifically the Midland Test Station in Montana  >> this is a new format for Bar 5 & its customers and in Ontario !!!!!

We invited a list of good friends and customers to build a group of “Across Breed Bulls” for BIO Evaluation and the generation of ABC Comparative EPDs in order to identify the Top 50 in the group; we gathered up a group that will be “one of the top groups” of Bulls available for sale anywhere in Eastern Canada, and maybe all of Canada !!!!!

Bar 5 invites all cattlemen to stop in and review the Bulls and go thru the Information, the group is fully listed in this PDF link on the BIO website for the Test Groups.
