Well,
we have a power bull here. Photo’ed at home
at the Leeuport Stud in west central SA, he is a
new blood line and he is proven to breed power. He
contains meat genetics all in his top side from the
old Brushbrunn Stud, now owned by our friend Sydney
Martin of Namibia (click to his new page in Customer
Gallery). Brushbrunn was famous for performance and
meat, and rugged beefy cows, and just sold in it’s
entirety to Sydney who will keep the stud together
in Namibia. Abraham visited Namibia in Sept 2003
and reports the cowherd is awesome !!!
We
thank Leeuport for selling us the semen and allowing
Horris to be part of our program. We will use him
on Peppi, Julia, Erika, Minka, Lana and young Petrola,
the Peppi daughter. We talk Abraham to go on Elsa
or Irene with this muscle machine but will wait until
we get some yearling and assess; they may be just
to strong & powerful he says !! What does that
mean ??? Anyway, we will keep talking to Abraham…..in
the mean time, the first Horris’s will born
in Jan 2004 at Bar 5 in Canada.
